Customer contact regarding orders
"I have been working in this position of order processing from the beginning, and handling customer contacts regarding orders has been one of my duties since the start. I perform checks and process changes, so that the orders are clear for the guys in production. That's important. I can correct a mistake in the order in most cases. Sometimes, of course, something goes wrong on my end, like with the delivery time, for example. It can happen. I'm human, I make mistakes too."
Many enjoyable contacts
"Some customers are not Pentas' customers, but mine! I've grown up with them. I have a lot of enjoyable contacts. For instance, I've known Huibert Groenendijk from the very beginning. He has become a bit of a friend. I'm also on good terms with the German customers. I'm allowed to use 'du' with many of them. At first, they often call me Frau Garritsen, but that sounds so harsh. Then I quickly say that they can call me Christel. I like to have direct lines of communication in customer contact. But the contact with the staff is also enjoyable. On New Year's Day, I always make a round through the factory, and in between, I try to show my face now and then. Thirty years at Pentas... it seems long. But I feel comfortable here. I'll definitely reach my retirement here!"
